Outlet Premium São Paulo was selected by Associação Brasileira de Shopping Centers (Abrasce) as the “Best Outlet Center in Brazil” at the 2017 Abrasce Awards, the top award in the shopping mall industry in the Country, held in September. The initiative recognized the best malls in the sector in its 16th edition, after evaluating 200 entries across nine categories.

This was the first edition where Outlets had their own category, thus reflecting how much the sector has grown in the Country. According to Abrasce, the award values the growing popularity outlets have had, with better projects in the segment, where creativity, innovation and functionality stand out.

Opened in June 2009, Outlet Premium São Paulo, the pioneer in the segment, not only in Brazil but in the entire Latin America as well, has locally developed the concept of purchasing great designer labels at appealing discounts on products from past collections. In addition to São Paulo, General Shopping Brasil also has Outlet Premium malls in Rio de Janeiro, Brasília and Salvador. In 2016 alone, over six million customers have visited the outlets, thus proving how successful this business model is.

Outlet Premium São Paulo today includes 111 stores of which some, such as Vivara, Sergio K, Swarovski and Victor Hugo, have their stores in Outlet format at the shopping center. Other brands, such as Lacoste, Schutz, Coach and Aramis also produce exclusive products for Outlet Premium.
